TEM Lab Digital Twinning

This project involves creating a digital twin of the TEM lab at LSU, focusing on simulating the functionality of the transmission electron microscope in virtual reality.

My role in the team is primarily as a tech artist and tool developer. So far, I have developed a system:

  • A system that simulates the optical path inside the microscope and demonstrates how knobs and buttons dynamically affect it in real time, providing an immersive, hands-on learning experience for users.

Created In: Since 2024 – Present
Collaboration: A group of 6 people
Game Engine: Unreal Engine – C++

I developed a system in C++ using Unreal Engine that simulates the optical path inside the microscope entirely using math and demonstrates how knobs and buttons dynamically affect it in real time.
